The interdisciplinary exhibition “AIDS – Based on a True Story” as the main focus had the diagnosis of the interplay between viral and semiotic epidemic that unfolded in the academic discourse and scientific and curatorial exploration of the museum´s international AIDS poster collection. These questions were revisited in the selection of the artworks, not connected with AIDS, but dealing with the themes of image politics and image production.
